ViDa Eats Team
Chefs Maggie & Tyler are the team behind ViDa Eats Catering. Between the two, they have a combined 20+ years cooking experience. They are both classically trained and enjoy traveling the world as a means to continue their education and hone their craft.
Chef Tyler, born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, comes with a history of strong leadership and discipline forged throughout his 9 years of wildland firefighting with the forest service in Gila National Forest, taking him all around the country protecting our lands and homes. In 2019, he made the switch back to the culinary world, and fine dining, after receiving a more formal foundation with the CNM Culinary program. After the program he began to travel and cook, starting in the Leewarden, Netherlands trading skills on a permaculture farm, and continuing through covid working all around the world; managing, cooking and landscaping at a luxury B&B in Texas, cooking at McMurdo research station in Antarctica for scientists, support crew, and then becoming executive Chef at Treebones luxury glamping resort in Big Sur, CA.
Chef Maggie, born and raised in upstate NY, comes with a history of fitness and food. After (the first time) moving out to Denver, CO in 2010, she became a certified Sous Chef with the American Culinary Foundation, and received her personal training certification through American Council on Exercise (ACE). She worked throughout the service industry (wine bars, catering businesses, managing, restaurants, waitressing) before realizing it was in order to collect all the skills to bootstrap her first successful catering business "Mezcla Maggie." After 5 years, she fortunately sold the business in exchange for her desire to travel, where she and Tyler decided to combine powers. They traveled the world and returned to Denver, CO to begin ViDa Eats out of their desire to offer their clients food that represented the richness of local artisans and the purity of quality local ingredients.
Lacey Avery is the Financial Officer and Operations Manager at ViDa Eats Catering. Before joining the close-knit team at ViDa Eats, she gained experience as an Operations Manager for a marketing agency as well as a third-party insurance administrator, responsible for the company's operations, HR, and billing departments.
